In my limited knowledge, it's because the deck is armored in certain places and/or application of different materials on the deck surface. In my limited knowledge, it's because the deck is armored in certain places and/or application of different materials on the deck surface. You have it correct my friend. The deck gets Non-skid (gritty kind of paint if you will, to keep the A/C and equipment from sliding) applied differently in certain areas. It also wears out differently as expected. The deck is never one color and will always vary due to maintenance, operations etc. DO it or Don't, but don't cry about it. Real men don't cry!
