SlipBall
I know that work continues full steam ahead on our WW II map. I was thinking of all the great objects that would be needed, to bring the map alive. They can't give them all to us, so what are a couple of your choices as being important to the map, as for me...camp fire/or oil fire to mark runways on the new forward bases, and still thinking of a couple more, but hard to choose  Edited December 23, 2014 by GT 5.

flare2000x
Flak 88! But more seriously, I think that WWII AI ground units like tanks/landing craft/ships/trucks are important, but even more important are the buildings and objects. We need tents, dispersal huts, control towers, oil bins, WINDSOCKS, the metal tracking that they placed on runways, barbed wire, sandbags, bunkers, iron hedgehogs, the list goes on and on . . . flare EDIT: We need lots of different kinds of AA guns, heavy ones like the 88 (and british/american equivalents), light ones like 20mm autocannons, and medium ones like the 40mm Bofors! The bofors was one of the most iconic weapons in WWII and it was used by all sides! ED Team NineLine Posted December 23, 2014 ED Team Share Posted December 23, 2014 I just hope that we get a pretty war torn environment, I think the area the map is focused on was pretty messed up in many locations... needs to look like there has been a lot of action, not nice clean towns and such, so lots of broken objects for sure... some dead cows for cover :D Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**

Friedrich-4B
Mod XXX: Horses and ploughs (would make a great obstruction during an emergency landing): A crane Bundles of wheat Stacks of jerrycans: Dust Santa (an oldy, but still good): And Santa's helper: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]************************************* Fortunately, Mk IX is slightly stable, anyway, the required stick travel is not high... but nothing extraordinary. Very pleasant to fly, very controllable, predictable and steady. Solty
I'd realy like if they made it so that we can feel the WW2 around us. It must not feel just like another sandbox, but a world that feels real. To acomplish that, I think those are the most important objects that not only make us invested in the world, but also give us purpose in the air, so that we have targets on the ground too. TOP 10 Objects that i'd like to see in WW2 setting: -light AA guns (20mm and 37mm) -heavy AA guns (88mm, 90mm) -Tanks -Trains -Train depots -Trucks(Opel Blitz, Studebaker) -Tents(medical, munitions, standard) -Supply depots (those things that can realy go BOOOM when hit) -Buildings from the era and place(Normandy France) -Hedgerows And thats it, I hope they can make it. Most importantly, I'd love to see though that DCS has changed so that my frame rate doesn't drop when somebody fires a burst and when somethings blows up or looses a part. In other words... OPTIMISE THE GAME... please :) Happy holidays people. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]In 21st century there is only war and ponies. OutOnTheOP
Excluding map objects, I would prioritize: 1) AI heavy or medium bombers 2) medium AAA (37-40mm) 3) horse-drawn wagons 4) dug-in infantry and towed artillery positions 5) steam trains 6) Opel Blitz and Dodge 2 1/2 ton trucks 7) M2/ M3 and SdKfz251 halftracks 8 ) M4 Sherman/ Pzkw Mark IV tanks My logic is that we first need objects that fill roles or behaviors that cannot be filled by an existing surrogate (like medium AAA or turret-armed bombers), then next priority should be to the most common targets for our aircraft (IE, trucks are much more likely targets than tanks)

MiloMorai
We need good forward airfields: http://www.nicolastrudgian.com/archivedetail.php?collection_id=113 II./JG300 was stationed at the following air fields in Oct 1944. Would be a stretch to call them 'forward airfields'. Löbnitz (GER) (51 34 50 N – 12 29 25 E) General : operational airfield (Einsatzhafen) in Saxony 33 km SSE of Dessau, 29-30 km N of Leipzig, 12 km NE of Delitzsch and 2.5 km SE of Löbnitz. History : laid out in 1938-39, but no evidence found of operational use until fall 1944 when it became a fighter station. Surface and Dimensions : grass surface measuring approx. 1145 x 355 meters (1250 x 390 yards) with an “L” shape. No paved runway. Infrastructure : no hangars or workshops, but several small buildings off the NW corner may have been used for temporary accommodations. Nearest rail connection in Düben, 8 km ENE of the landing ground. Dispersal : there were at least 7 aircraft bays cut into the woods off the S boundary (Feb 45). Operational Units : II./JG 300 (Oct 44 – Apr 45); III./JG 4 (Apr 45). Finsterwalde (GER) (51 36 30 N – 13 44 20 E) General : airfield (Fliegerhorst) 104 km SSE of Berlin, 45 km WSW of Cottbus in Brandenburg; airfield located 3.6 km SSE of Finsterwalde. History : construction began in late 1934 or early 1935 and it was named a Luftwaffe Fliegerhorstkommandantur by fall 1935. http://www.ww2.dk/Airfields%20-%20Germany%20%5B1937%20Borders%5D.pdf Edited December 28, 2014 by MiloMorai spelling

I don't really get the Normandy area judging from the timeframe the K-4 flew in.. but you do have all the things I enjoy from the Cliffs of Dover maps. They make it seem vibrant and alive, sometimes you RANDOMLY come across a train for example.. that kinda stuff. Also supply depots actually exploding and having secondary explosions would be super cool! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
