MrDieing
Currently the only mode available is the SP mode, which relies on the RWR. Do you have that turned on? ED Team Wags Posted January 16, 2019 ED Team Share Posted January 16, 2019 Operation of the HARM in SP mode is quite simple: Master Arm Switch to ARM A/G Master Mode ON Select HARM from the TAC/Stores page Press the HARM Sequence/RAID/FLIR FoV switch or to cycle the ground-radar emitters on the EW page / EW HUD / Azimuth Indicator (aka RWR scope) RESET will automatically select the highest threat emitter Press and HOLD the weapon release button or [right ALT + SPACEBAR] Shout MAGNUM at the top of your lungs Some notes: HARM range is highly dependent on launch altitude and speed. A high and fast launch at 45k MSL at 1.3M will allow engagement out to 80 nm. When in SP mode, no target range is provided. Have a good understanding of where the target may be before you launch that HARM. Some advanced SAM systems can shoot down a HARM. It is not a magic bullet. Most of all, have fun and enjoy the SAM payback! Rapax
I have put a SA-10 battery and has intercepted my 4 Harms. The good thing is that they did not shoot at me. :-))
DeathAngel1
I tried to magnum HARM vs SA-3 battery at range +45 nm, and HARM always miss. Vs SA-6 i get 99% hits at range of 30-35 nm, same vs SA-11. So maybe best range to magnum HARM is between 30-35 nm max? ..:NAVY PILOTS ARE THE THE BEST PILOTS:.. QuiGon
What key is the RESET button? Or is it only a OSB? Found it. Can you add a mapping for it so we can assign it to our HOTAS? You can map the OSB to your HOTAS, but it will only have the RESET functionality if you have the corresponding DDI page open on the correct DDI. Schmidtfire
Would HARM be a viable Air-Air weapon? Lets say Im out of air-air missiles, but still have a HARM left. Su-27 closing in and painting me with it’s radar... in theory It should go after that radar. And since the HARM does not have a radar of any kind, the launch would go undetected. Except the big smoketrail ofc..
