I think Ed is waiting for F-18 release to make available the aircraft carrier operations and that will make us to wait moooreeee.

for me, it can be enough to fly su-33 pfm first, I can wait more for carrier ops during the su-33 pfm beta test stage.

Uhh, I think it's been in the works for a while now. And as far as I'm aware, we have no idea about when it will be released. Unless they posted something that I've missed where they said not before 2017?

????

Okay, undeniable the Russians will somehow mod this aircraft to be capable, but..... It already needs the entire runway to even get airborne :S

It's called Su-25 UTG.

IIRC, the first one landed on a carrier right behind that first Su-27 and MiG-29 carrier landings by Pugachev and Aubakirov in 1989. Currently there are around 10 UTG's in service. :D

It's used as a training aircraft for carrier deck landings.
