Well for Falklands IAI Nesher is appropriate. Argentinians flew it against RN and RNFAA, damaging five surface combatants, and loosing 12 Neshers.

However neither should be developed. In my view anyway. DCS has enough 3 and 4 gen strike aircraft. I think DCS could use a high fidelity PFM,ASM, full cockpit switchology sim of primarily air-superiority type.

Pick either Western or Russian/Soviet or Chinese air-sup type, and develop the &^&^ out of it. F-16 C/D Block 52/CCIP or Mig-29SMT. Not FC3 Mig-29, but a sim equivalent to AV-8B N/A, M2kC, F/A-18C. Perhaps evolve M2KC to M2000-5. Is it too much to hope for 1st gen Rafale.

If RAZBAM is intent on 1982 circa A-G strike type, then let it be A-4M or contemporary last model advanced A-4. A Pucara would be interesting.

It isn’t about what we want, it is about what data they can find to make it happen.

Good luck finding MiG-29SMT or Rafale manuals...

And there are many different tastes :smilewink:

Since the Mirage IIIE was retired from French service in the 90s I think this variant is possible and cosidering it was the most widely exported it only makes sense that they do this, also the Mirage V is basically a IIIE without radar, Razbam could actually do both and Razbam could continue to expand the Mirage family in the future.

Then I would probably go with the MIIIEA.

Why MIIIEA and not E? :(

I say that because I think about maps for DCS (current ones and coming ones), EA is only for Argentinians and is limited comparing to the E (with loose the Doppler equipement for example).

The E is the most polyvalent version of the Mirage III and is the "standard" for other exportations, not only Argentina. If you read baguette or wanna use translator, here is a place with many info' :

Creating a Mirage III E seems to be the most reasonable choice in the DCS environment (and the most profitable saleswise …). Having a EA variant would only make sense with the upcoming Malvinas map while the E could be employed virtually anywhere.

While I do complain a lot about having planes matching eras and theater of operations, from a developper point of view, I suppose the Mirage III E is the way to go. From this version, you could eventually offer the less effective variants down the road.

I think this poll was just about the choice of Mirage III family variant to make for South Atlantic theatre project. Super Étendard is probably planned somewhere down the road...

I don't understand your point with these files ?

These are SFP series files, not compatible with DCS, and even if fun not up to DCS World standard.

Argentina used Super Etendard, SUe in short version, not to be confused with later upgraded French Super Etendard Modernisé (SEM).

IAI Nesher. It was in service until recently in South America (Equador). Plus a Kfir variant was used as OPFOR threat in Iron Eagle II. Which in 1987, before CGI FX, was a good call, neither Kfir nor Nesher were widely known in West. At the time, those delta winged Mirages, were flown by Arabs, that those were our ally Arabs, including Iraq, was lost on American and Canadian audience. Mirage III and Hawker Hunter, were quintessential Western aircraft flown in African Bush Wars, back in the Cold War 1.0, by mainly British and French PMC (aka mercenary) pilots.

I vote for whichever of the two are better at multi role or ground attack. These jets won’t survive in current dcs air to air environment anyway and timeline locked server are usually not that well populated.

Current Hangar : A-10C II ¦ AJS-37 ¦ A/V-8B ¦ F-14A/B ¦ F/A-18C ¦ FC3 ¦ JF-17 ¦ Ka-50 ¦ Mi-8 ¦ M2000-C ¦ SA342 ¦ UH-1H

Other Modules : Combined Arms ¦ Persian Gulf
