Seems ok for me, the mav will change when pointed at the sky only, and will return when looking at the ground again or has something to focus on like clouds, seems normal to me. I don't remember it being any other way.

Understandable but should the transition be instant or should there may be some time for the seeker to "focus" on the sky and washout slower? Also when I did the air start maverick training mission the washout didn't happen.
