Donut
What is the standard procedure for operating the external lighting in the F-16? Anti-Collision: When are they turned on and what are the different flash modes used for? Flash/Steady: When is flash or steady used? Wing/Tail/Fuselage: When are these turned on? The formation lights and master covert seem self explanatory. Thanks for the help! i5 7600K @4.8GHz | 1080 Ti | 32GB 3200MHz | SSD | DCS SETTINGS | "COCKPIT"
Geraki
it depends on every squadron or airforce SOP e.g during Leak check the nav lights are steady after internal and external check complete the nav lights return to flash ....during taxi and positioning for takeoff the nav lights could flash In addition to the lights console block50, CCIP has the ability to change the pattern of a strobe light in order during some specific operations to know each member is without to communicate e.g the leader strobes one time every one sec , wingman 2 strobes every one-sec number three-member three strobes every one sec i could add some code how the lights work one stobe StrobeOnTime 0.025 sec StrobeOffTime 1.5 sec WingFlashOnTime 0.5 sec WingFlashOffTime 0.25 sec or two strobes StrobeOnTime 0.025 sec StrobeOffTime 0.75 sec StrobeOnTime 0.025 sec StrobeOffTime 0.75 sec WingFlashOnTime 0.5 sec WingFlashOffTime 0.25 sec Edited October 1, 2019 by Geraki
Backwards
In the Norwegian air force. For ground ops the lights are steady when it's safe for ground personnel to approach the aircraft, flashing when it's unsafe.
