Hey folks, learned something tonight RE Logitech z906 surround sound setup.

Not sure if this is the right place. I was pulling my hair out tonight trying to get all my speakers to work.

During the realtek testing or windows 10 speaker testing, only the front L/R speakers would test.

So, many searches, reload drivers etc. Then I ran across a post that gave me the answer!

ON the Z906 control panel, the EFFECT button gives you 3D,4.1 and 2.1 for settings.

However, as many thought....I thought the 3D setting gave you the surround. Not the case. It just emulates 3D sound through the front speakers. You have to TURN OFF all effects in order to have all your speakers and subwoofer work and test properly. Now I have a full room of surround sound.

Hope this may help those such as myself that was struggling with the Logitech z906 speakers.
