Radar question: BFR usage?

From what I understand, the BFR prf is not really suited for most combat situations and It cannot guide the Super530D's either.

But is it useful for... let's say a close combat situation? Will it be easier to maintain lock and slave Magic II or use cannon against a maneuvering bandit?

You can't lock in BFR, so you won't be able to slave magic using BFR. It's totally useless in close combat situation (Close Combat modes should be used instead).

From what i understood, it's only useful for finding low speed target flying above you.
