PLEASE fix the basics!

Wow,

 

1.5 years EA. Not bad.

 

So, please:

 

  • sort the controls in categories correctly in the settings
  • make the controls working u offer in the settings (like wheel brake axis, EP-13 contrast)
  • offer more controls assignable to axes (e.g. all rotating buttons)
  • let us offset the EP-13-View (its not possible to watch through HUD and EP-13 at the same time)
  • get this bird out of alpha
  • Kneeboard fixes

 

 

After reading this forum, I realized that I bought an EA product which isn't moving any further since 1.5 years...

 

When u will finish the Viggen? U need more money? More time? I dont know the problem, but it's time to finish this product, guys pay 60 bucks for.

The Viggen is not in Alpha.

We consider it to be a borderline beta at this point, as the amount of features missing or broken is quite small at this point.

If you are unhappy with your purchase, please write me directly for a refund.

Now that the Viggen has been released into Open Beta in 1.5.6; we're going to be hard at work at polishing the aircraft up, and solving all of the issues still present in the module.

This first post will be edited to reflect the current changelog and corrections.

I dont know, but noone cares, if u agree. This is just a kiddie behavior....

 

So, in the real aircraft, the pilots head movement is tracked and the picture scales smaller if u move the head towards the EP-13? I dont know, whether it bhaves like watching through a DSLR Camera. Do u know how it behaves in VR? U fly in VR?

No from my side and 98% of the other sim pilots.

 

Believe it or not, your problems are not the world problems and the developers won't jump at your mark. I'm pretty sure Heatblur has a priority list for fixing bugs and since you seem to ignore the hundreds of bugs fixed yet, you also would have no interest in getting to know when it's your turn...

Not sure the point of this thread. The Viggen is pretty much finished and everything you listed and complained about is dumb. Viggen is amazing.

 

 

I wouldnt pick an word "amazing" for something which crashes game every time it is used.

If it was stable i would say it is good, not amazing. but right now is just junk.

I'm sorry for you and I hope it get's fixed soon but for me it is working like Charme so this is far from junk

I'm sorry for you and I hope it get's fixed soon but for me it is working like Charme so this is far from junk

 

I'm just curious how is it working perfectly for you? what version of dcs are you using? I was under the impression viggen crashes for everyone.

It works well on my rig .. you wouldn't be the first to point fingers towards a developer without first ensuring that your PC/setup isn't to blame.

I don't think so...

I play on DCS 2.5.2.19273 Update 6 Hotfix. I have flown the Instant Action "OCA Strike" and directly after that the mission "attack the camp". Apart from the chinese mission title after loading the mission I encountered nothing unusual.

Every other game on this system works as a charm and with stable FPS...

I tried stable and open beta DCS versions they both crash with VIggen after 1 flight.

 

If you look around this forum you will notice that there are few topics with like 10+ pages of ppl complaining that viggen is just broken and doesnt fly.

 

For me that is enough to know that it is not my end, it is ED or Heatblut... :mad:

Its extremely weird, I tried Instant Action I was able to start up and load another mission with out a single problem. Now once i try loading up another training, User created mission, Create fast mission, or the Campaign i crash to desktop.

If that is the real thing, you can't see the HUD and the EP-13 sight same time, then it is so.

 

But I do agree that all the configurations in all modules (not just in Viggen) should be rechecked to be easily categorized and bindable. Like exactly in Viggen it as for long time after release nasty thing to get the weapons dial (at the right side) to be set, as it should just be two bindings for Clockwise and Counter-Clockwise. All the switches and dials etc should be operational with left/right mouse clicks, and most likely with just left click if just possible (so you don't break something if you go past something at wrong time, like full flaps at high speed) so it is easy to use with anything. Meaning as well you could use one binding to adjust something instead two, even if multi-position switch.

It is working fine to load another mission if the radar hasn't been used at all in the previous mission and is not used in the second mission.

There are som other combinations also, that causes the crashes that I cannot remember right now.

But it is all described by the developers in this thread https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=214596

what they have found and will fix in the next patch.

Is it a screen in reality or a lens mirror-thing. Like if u watch through DSLR-Camera?

It's a small CRT monitor under the lens to make it 1:1 sight. It is indeed in wrong orientation. Pilot should see picture without moving his head as is seen on be photo:

Nope, I was just a little lazy when I wrote my post (you know, bug reports on things that have not been corrected for months or even years... standard DCS stuff... Tiring).

 

 

 

Sorry for that, kid. No one care about what you think of the module then.. And no need to offense people like you did.

 

 

 

The picture was taken with a certain angle, which is not the default view in the DCS Viggen, however It seems that you're right, the EP-13 is slightly offset compared to what we have in DCS.

Cause it should not get smaller the closer u get. Closer, please don't confuse with zoom.

Like anything behaves is the whole universe:

If i get closer, the object becomes bigger for u.

In one, I give the thread creator right, the categories with the key assignments should be tidied up properly, there are some categories that are double (English and German). Some categories where there are only 1-2 things in it that could have been placed somewhere else. (Like "Oxygen Lever" the only button in Versch.)

And the description of the buttons are a wild mess in Swedish, English and German.

I (and maybe other, too) need the possibilty to rotate the data panel selector knob CW or CCW. Right now, I have to set 7 hotkeys for being able to switch it around.

 

Additionally, it would be nice, if u add the possibilty to rotate all rotating knobs via axes.
