David OC
That's going to be a major thing to get better, possibly the Vulkan api etc will help here? DCS is great with VR considering it was never designed around VR like all the very small apps in the VR stores and DCS is how much bigger then any of these apps? plus better graphics and everything else that's in the sim. i7-7700K OC @ 5Ghz | ASUS IX Hero MB | ASUS GTX 1080 Ti STRIX | 32GB Corsair 3000Mhz | Corsair H100i V2 Radiator | Samsung 960 EVO M.2 NVMe 500G SSD | Samsung 850 EVO 500G SSD | Corsair HX850i Platinum 850W | Oculus Rift | ASUS PG278Q 27-inch, 2560 x 1440, G-SYNC, 144Hz, 1ms | VKB Gunfighter Pro Chuck's DCS Tutorial Library Download PDF Tutorial guides to help get up to speed with aircraft quickly and also great for taking a good look at the aircraft available for DCS before purchasing. Avenger31
Maybe we wont see any improvement on area of VR becouse ED dont care of us, just i dont know why it is like that, having in mind that only VR flying is real enjoying over DCS. Rudel_chw
Maybe we wont see any improvement on area of VR becouse ED dont care of us .... ED doesnt care .. yeah, right. I prefer to judge on facts: DCS has VR support since 2015 ... two years before other Flight Sims like X-Plane or IL-2 ... what developer cares more? sea2sky
If some user is able to make a mode (https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=215490) allowing extra 30-50% of FPS increase then it is definitely safe to assume ED does not care. i5-9600K@4.8GHz ★ 32Gb DDR4 ★ Asus TUF rtx3080 OC ★ Quest Pro ★ Warthog on Virpil base
pimp
It's not fair to say they do not care. It's just evident that VR is not a high priority. Knock-Knock
Easy on those trigger fingers. From the original VR Shader mod thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3565427&postcount=144 And one thing is a mod, where you can just cut corners and ignore visual issues, that you cant as a commercial developer. And by that Im not taking anything away from Kegetys's great work. - Jack of many DCS modules, master of none. - Personal wishlist: F-15A, F-4S Phantom II, JAS 39A Gripen, SAAB 35 Draken, F-104 Starfighter, Panavia Tornado IDS. | Windows 11 | i5-12400 | 64Gb DDR4 | RTX 3080 | 2x M.2 | 27" 1440p | Rift CV1 | Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS | MFG Crosswind pedals |

That's pretty harsh. But if you had to work on Persian Gulf, Straight of Hormuz, integrate Belsimteck, merge 2.5, and accommodate the VAST majority of users who don't use VR (yet, it *IS* the future), and you have to support every PC combination, and you have to answer support questions, and you have to work on F18, and you have to work with Razbam, Heatblur for the upcoming releases, and you have to get campaigns to work with 2.5, and you have.......you get the picture. Don't get wrong, VR *isn't* EDs top priority. Because if it was, it would be farther along the line in terms of performance bottlenecks. But again, most of their customers don't us VR yet. pagadi-zaiet
A non deferred shading option should have been left in place for VR customers. VR has been advertised as a feature...I do expect it is implemented and developed properly...recently nothing or little has been done!...where is Vulcan btw? Knock-Knock
Having both Deferred and forward rendering (old render engine) would require 2 sets of assets, cause all material settings have to be tailored for one or the other. - Jack of many DCS modules, master of none. - Personal wishlist: F-15A, F-4S Phantom II, JAS 39A Gripen, SAAB 35 Draken, F-104 Starfighter, Panavia Tornado IDS. | Windows 11 | i5-12400 | 64Gb DDR4 | RTX 3080 | 2x M.2 | 27" 1440p | Rift CV1 | Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS | MFG Crosswind pedals |

Non-deferred version was way better in terms of clarity and FPS performance. I hope the issue will get addressed sooner than later!
