If you only have 1 person out of 40 working full time at VEAO and it takes 3 to 4 weeks to take care of a 40 hour job on a project, because the team member is doing this in their spare time, that's probably where the problem is.

I know you all probably have done that as a cost cutting measure, but it's probably the main issue holding you back. From what I understand, you all have done projects for the MoD and you have released the Hawk for us commercial users. This is past amateur hour. You guys should have enough capital to hire somebody to take care of a 40 hour issue in 40 hours, not a month.

What is it to pay a few people 150 quid for a couple of days straight of sorting out issues, if you're going to make 30x that, if not more, in one day when released?

I'm not saying this out of impatience, you all can take another year and half to release the P-40, doesn't bother me.

Trying to help you out as another business owner.
Nowhere in that post it is ever stated VEAO would only have a single programmer.

haha excellent on the AOL thing, yep I have fond memories of those too.

Have you ever thought about coding for DCS or have any interest in it?

I understand the frustration everyone is feeling right now and hopefully I answered his question/post MMJ, let's not get into disagreements and try to move forward in a positive way.

I'm tired of the arguing

Aye. I just come across so many posts all over the forums where the OP has been misread.

On a side note... as the Hawks issues seem to be a persistent bunch, have you/your team already started rebuilding the ASM, or are there items you'd rather sort out before that dispite them being redone in the future? It has been six months since the recode was announced, so I'm curious on its progress.

Naturally there won't be anything to show until it is closer to completion, of course.

I understand the trouble you guys are having. I'm studying programming now and I know how hard it is to find that one little piece of code in a haystack to fix an issue and it doesn't always make sense as to why it happened. Especially when you're work is based off of the ever changing work of others.

As sad as I am that the Typhoon won't be released for a long time now, its always better to have a quality module later than one that doesn't work now.

Thanks for letting us know what's going on and even giving us an explanation to help us understand.

Nothing has changed in our development program timeline. All contract modules are at various stages in development from 3D models to texturing to coding.

It is simply the release of those modules that is affected as we do not want to release products that could potentially have the same bug issues that Hawk has had over the years.

Surely this is better for the community no?

I have a family member who started coding in the earliest days, picked it up like learning to walk, and never saw the problem. She tried to teach me....we both gave up, She was taken on by one of the BIG computer companies, and never looked back..but I have NEVER had the patience to go through code, adding little bits in FSX still annoys me.
So I'm in sympathy with VEAO. I could never learn to do coding, make a model, get to fly and 'do thing's.
So I frankly don't care what other companies do
I've never come across a flight sim that has worked perfectly, and I don't expect perfection.
Been in enough RAF Aircraft that have gone duff after start up and don't expect the sim to work perfect either.
Loaded and unloaded the gear of 3 herc's one afternoon....into late evening, on the 4th attempt we got away.
That's life and I'm behind these guys.

A bigger problem is trying to understand how someone else has coded something and disect it to figure out what is going wrong.

I've done that many times in past as a programmer and man it's difficult.
