One of my first attempts to create a DCS World movie. :pilotfly:

Resolution: 3440x1440 (G-Sync)

Res. Cockpit: 1024

MSAA: 4x

DOF: Off

Lens: Dirt+Flare

Deferred Shading: On

Clutter/Grass: 1500

Trees Visibility: 100%

Preload Radius: 150000

Chimney Smoke: 7

Gama: 1.8

Anisotropic: 16x

Terrain Shadows: Flat

Global Illumination: On

V-Sync: Off

 

System specs:

i7 8700K @ 4.9 GHz (H115i)

GTX 1080 Ti SC2 Hybrid @ 2025 MHz

32 GB RAM @ 3866 MHz CL8

TM Warthog HOTAS + MFD's

MFG Crosswind

Asus PG348 @ 3440x1440 G-Sync

It stutters sometimes, but pretty smooth overall.

I have kind of the same setup, but yours is better. So, for now, I ended up with lower resolution (2560x1080) but with dynamic shadows set to medium.

 

Lighting is better with Dynamic shadows, but they are a huge hit for the performance.

Why did you set Civ. Traffic to Low, does it hit FPS?

Civ. Traffic is on low because when you see a car driving now and then it brings the world alive.

 

When you look closely you can indeed discover a few little stutters in the movie but this is only when running MSAA 4x and recording in 4K.

 

Normally when I play the game it runs totally smooth on my Asus 3440x1440 G-sync monitor.

 

If I run at MSAA at 4x I get 60 to 70 FPS but when I lower the MSAA to 2x I get 80 to 100 FPS.
