Inaugural airfield and music?

As I’m sure many if not all of you saw in the Hornet thread.

What airfield will serve as your first point of departure and what music will

accompany you in the air?

I’m thinking I might use Kutasai since I’ve got all my planes set up for cold starts

on a fall afternoon with some targets at the abandoned airfield on the coast.

Clear skies with a little bit of a crossways headwind over the active runway, 26 I think it is.

Thinking some Righteous Brothers.

Whichever airfield is going to be on the training mission. As for music I think I would start by listening to the provided album.

Tonopah on NTTR, the very first time. I have to echo the sentiment that I don't want anything to do with a trap until I can prove to myself that I can consistently bring it in, centerline and on slope at Tonopah Test Range.

Carrier, mighty wings !

Or....<shifty eyes> I could play some Queen "One Vision" just because its truly epic flying music. Yes yes I know it's from Iron Eagle but damn it I love that movie !

Top Gun had the better airplane, and everyone loves The Danger Zone, but I'm of the opinion that Iron Eagle had the better soundtrack.

I’m thinking of a little start up, taxi, takeoff play list.

Unchained Melody by the Righteous Brothers

You’ve lost that lovin feeling by the Right Brothers

Sitting on the sick of the bay by otis Redding ( if needed )

Great Balls of Fire by Jerry lee Lewis

long tall sally by Little Richard

for taxiing

Upon releasing the breaks and punching full burner I’ll kick in Danger Zone.

Using flightsims since many decades but can't imagine listening to (distracting) music while flying, or even in the menu. A contributing reason might be that listen to music while flying IRL is a definite no-go.

Dumping drop tanks over populated cities, going supersonic 6m over a football stadium, using random cars and houses for target practice. With all the thing I do in game that are a no-no in real life listening to music is pretty far down the list.

I will probably fire up the entire Top Gun soundtrack while the F-14 is downloading and launch off the nearest catapult as soon as possible.

All excellent choices.

Long Tall Sally, in particular.
