Swordsman422
I'm very aware those were D models. But other than a small difference with the TCS/ALQ-100 externally they are the same. So...D model Liveries will certainly be seen on he B model;) That's not the only external difference. The F-14D lacked the ALQ fairings by the main gear doors also. The RIO's boarding step reinforcement plate was also not universal on the F-14D like it was the B. Also, while they were in the cockpit, the ejection seats were quite visible from the outside. The F-14B's GRU-7A and the F-14D's SJU-17 are very different.

Nexus-6
The F-14 wears anything well, but I've always preferred the "aggressor" livery used by VF-74. Can't pretend fly as well as you can.

Raven (Elysian Angel)
Personally, I dislike black painted radomes on -any- aircraft. But that VF-74 livery looks smashing indeed! OnionSpider13
Hmm, the all-grey ones really do show the shape of the aircraft a lot better. That being said, I do like me some high visibility paint schemes.
Gunslinger22
I love the Gull schemes of the early 70's, just stunning with the white control surfaces! "I'm just a dude, playing a dude, disguised as another dude."
KSilva
My favorite is AJ101 from VF-31 on the Last Cruise ;-)
OnionSpider13
I wouldn't consider this the "best" livery (or even a good one), but it is still another one of my favorites. Sure do wish my service had selected the F-14 for ADC...

TLTeo
When I was a kid I had a Tomcat model that I loved playing with, with the all-black VX-4 scheme. Probably not very appropriate for ~8 year old me, but hey at the time I had no idea what the bunny was for >.> :
Woogey
VF-101 also uses the shark nose. :) Only after the brass took an Axe to the Sundowners, did VF-101 steal the Shark from the true rightful owners........VF-111!

captain_dalan
As we are all going the show (not just tell rout), here are mine: 1. VF-1, i like both early brown radome brown nosed, or white nosed variants; 2. VF-143, also both white and brown nosed ones; 3. VF-84, the classical early 80's variant; 3 (with a caveat), VF-213, but only AND ONLY the white nosed ones. I would have none of that strip over nose nonsense! P.S. no grey Tomcats for me, thank you very much! :music_whistling: Modules: FC3, Mirage 2000C, Harrier AV-8B NA, F-5, AJS-37 Viggen, F-14B, F-14A, Combined Arms, F/A-18C, F-16C, MiG-19P, F-86, MiG-15, FW-190A, Spitfire Mk IX, UH-1 Huey, Su-25, P-51PD, Caucasus map, Nevada map, Persian Gulf map, Marianas map, Syria Map, Super Carrier, Sinai map, Mosquito, P-51, AH-64 Apache

Raisuli
Without any doubt, this one here - which reminds me that we need a new WW2 warbird ;) The A6 Texan "Hollywood" Zero? First saw that movie for $0.75 at Luce Auditorium, NTC San Diego (where they filmed parts of Top Gun...Mav drives angry out of gate 3, across Rosecrans, and...into a street that doesn't go anywhere?). One of the guys I knew was on the Nimitz when they filmed Final Countdown, but his chance at fame ended on the cutting room floor. The -14s are flaps down, trying to stay airborne while the Texans are firewalled trying to keep up. Quite a bit of lore around that dogfight. Eldur
Without any doubt, this one here - which reminds me that we need a new WW2 warbird ;) Now that'd be a good reason for Heatblur to target a Dec 7th release for early access But M³ really has to hurry up with an A6M2 module then... My fave's probably this one... But I also like VF-1, VF-84, VF-33 and VF-111, oh and that blue VF-213 one.
