One of the shots is of an well known incident of an aircraft at an airshow crashing. Chances of having footage from the actual event are slim and unrealistic to expect, most documentaries of such things are done with re enactments /stock footage. They are still documentaries though, they document the facts about a real life event. I agree that when they go over the top it can make you dubiuos of the facts being presented, you just have to watch it with a pinch of salt and common senese, besides its probably as close as you might get to the information about the real event. Especially since they seem to be interviewing the actual protagonists involved.
