Gierasimov
Regardless of era Nice! Maybe this has been answered, but what year (ish) is the falklands map going to be? Modern or 80's era? Would be an excellent opportunity to bring Argentina and UK land forces to DCS. I know there are some ships in progress and also saw an artillery cannon but would be nice to see infantry and other "targets" for ground pounders... I see there is a nice progress on the base core structure but looks like few miles still to go. Keep up the great work and never give up. Ventus_Clu
the island hasn't changed much since the 80's, I was there for 6 months in '14 and the majority of the infrastructure was built in the late 80's. Even the stuff that was built to be temporary, like the accommodation, is still there!

mkiii
Port Stanley City & airport is quite different now judging by Google photos. Port San Carlos no longer has the Harrier strip. The whole Island now has roads that weren't there in 82, and apart from Mount Pleasant, there seem to be a lot of new buildings around, and a lot fewer wrecked Argentinian Armoured cars, Puccaras & helicopters around Stanley & other places. Mumby
The Harrier FOB surface was of the temporary steel matting type during the war in 1982. Can't remember the technical name. Edit: Technical term is Prefabricated Surfacing Airfield Interlocking (PSAI) Edited May 18, 2019 by Mumby

jester224
A couple of thoughts on the Falklands Map. We are talking the as of now or recent rather than during 1982. The reason being there was no Mount Pleasant air base at that time.
