[NOBUG] recent patch and unable to get the module active

The last OB update 2.5.6.50979 broke my Viggen :(

at first I was getting IC about AJS37.dll

and then AJS37.dll file write permission error

• reinstalled the module - no help
  
• repair DCS w/ module - no help
  
• repair DCS w/o module - no help
  
• repair DCS w/o module and removing all mods - no help
  
• manually deleting files from base and savegames folders - no help
  

Antivirus on/off during the above steps - no difference

then I saw the free week for Viggen and thought that'll fix it... It kinda did as now I can install the module with no issue but can't use it.

It's present in module manager and check "installed" but not showing in main menu as "active", no instant missions available and when I try a custom mission and try to get in the cockpit it just blocks me out like a module I don't own and the AI takes over

Does anyone had this problem and is there a fix?

Note. In latest SABLE 2.5.6.49798 it's working fine

Any antivirus software running? They sometimes block access to the module dlls.

I do use antivirus but the DCS folders are excluded from any type of scan.

but disabling antivirus was also done (updating the main post)

Please post your DCS.log. It’s in your saved games folder and DCS world/logs

the old log with the .dll error is gone and last night log got overwritten so all I have is this bit with IC fail

Pretty much the same thing here (except I haven't bought the Viggen, just trying to test it)

^^ that's the error I was getting when I tried to install the Viggen before it went free this morning

Please post in the general section of DCS. This is either a) a problem with something on your system denying access to the files (i e antivirus) or b) a installer problem or c) something with the integrity check. Neither of these are made by HeatBlur so we can’t help you beyond the suggestion to try to remove ALL antivirus software and reinstall DCS.

Edit: another suggestion is to do a complete anti-virus scan on your computer

Antivirus/firewall Win+Bitdefender was already desactivated.

Anti-virus scanning and nothing found.

Delete files DL manually

After downloading a dozen times and uninstalling

After restarting the PC, now it works, don't ask me why...

full clean install of DCS sorted it for me too ... 200GB redownloaded

I justed uninstalling the module in my case

Probably some process that got exclusive access to the file and then hung.
