Has anyone tried today's update that was having issues to see if anything has changed?

Indeed the stabilization fails, in the exact same way it used to do at the Hornet's release but only when doing heavy maneuvers (rolling left or right, pulling max G, put the target at 45° relative to your nose then level the plane will guarantee the loss of lock, especialy during rapid rolls, you can see the antenna trying to stay on target, and at a point it just gives up and goes all over the place, the antenna has lost the target).

This is what I would do after firing a Fox 1, a crank maneuver, I can't rely on the radar, for me at least it's not ready for BVR combat, I also sometimes can't lock targets with the TDC, usually when they are within 5nm.

After a quick Through the inferno, have no problems with the radar engaging 4 targets, AAQC is working properlly for me, AIM-120B is working as active radar normally (mad dog and specific simbology not yet avalible), radar tdc control works fine

I have this problem. Radar is practically unusable:

looks like it was working you could se the distance going down, seems that you just lost the lock on the turn

Yea, it cannot hold lock for some reason. Right now, it's good only to reveal your position to enemy.

If USA makes radar that loses lock at 3g light maneuver, they do not have bright future. Target is in level flight.

This was an issue in the beginning than it was fixed but recently there was a thread where something of this nature was described. Not sure what the outcome was. It was the radar stabilization thread.

its worth noting that you didnt lose the lock on the turn, but on the roll, it usually happens to me as well on fast rolls when beaming, not sure if it's suppose to work like that

This is correct, but the proper place to report bugs and suggest corrections is in this bug forum (where we are). This attitude will not create a great community for DCS.

My experience with the stuck hud lock is fixed, but I have had many occasions where the radar loses lock on a target at my 12 oclock and literally 3-5 miles in front. Lock is lost on almost every bank turn.

Hi guys,

I'm seeing people in other threads saying the the radar loss of track is already solved for them. Is it supposed to be solved already? When playing the quickstart vs 4 mig29 i'm still loosing lock everytime i crank after shooting a sparrow even with gentle maneouvers. Maybe i need a DCS repair?

From the comments I’m reading on the latest update, it sounds like loss of lock is kinda worse now, but the hud freeze is gone?

I’m not at my computer to test, but this makes me wonder if they simply reverted back to an earlier code, pre-HUD lock bug. It seems to me whatever they did to fix the problems with breaking lock and switching targets caused the hud lock bug, as the two coincided with the same update.

If this is the case, they are clearly trying to work the problem...

I'm not sure which update it was but it may have been the second radar update, before the one that people noticed the HUD lock issue, where target lock remained on the target during turns and high angle manuevers. Then after that update people noticed the HUD lock issue...which was last week's update.

Radar still losing lock too easily

I did some simple testing in the new Open Beta patch (released 15/08/18 ), and the radar is dropping lock very easily while performing relatively simple and gentle manoeuvres.

It's very simple to reproduce - simply lock up a target that's in front of you, roll 90 deg left or right and turn to between 30deg and 60 deg away from the target, as you roll out from the turn to go wings level the radar will drop the lock. Track attached.
