No GPS Position

That's normal if the unit hasn't warmed up. Can take about 10-15 seconds to find the satellites after power-on.

In the nav chapter, last subpage, is a display of the overhead satellites. It has a bug where it will always show acquiring (which is filed) but once that gets to that display, you should have acquired GPS signals.

If you are getting stuck with "No GPS Position" for longer than that, please let me know.

Has this bug been fixed? I am still seeing it with Mi-8, even with hot start.

AFAIK it's by design, there shouldn't be an issue if a mission's date is after March 28th 1994 i.e. there's a GPS signal.

wolle's track is from "The Helicopter War in Caucasus" (mission date: 19th Aug 1972), so prior to the deployment of GPS satellites and hence there is no GPS signal for the NS430.

If the mission date is adjusted in the ME to 19th Aug 1995, the NS430 GPS works as normal.

Tested DCS 2.5.5.41371

Note: If flying as a 'minor' nation, you'll likely need to be in coalition with a major power (i.e. USA or Russia) to gain access to their GPS/GNSS satellites i.e. "USAF Aggressors" don't have access to GPS by themselves.

This is not a bug, GPS will not function prior to 28/3/1994
