CHINA_HAT_FWD
Hi All, When troops are loaded in the sim does the gross weight of the aircraft increase? If so, what is the weight of a single solider that is used to make up the extra payload? Thanks in advance! CHF
Tiramisu
Yes, absolutely! I have tried to takeoff with 14 soldiers, full fuel weight and full armament, but I could not do it, because I was too heavy. Then I disembarked them and suddenly my Huey was able to take off much easier. Maybe the center of gravity is also changed by loaded troops, but I have not tested it, yet. MadDog-IC
Hi All, When troops are loaded in the sim does the gross weight of the aircraft increase? If so, what is the weight of a single solider that is used to make up the extra payload? Weight of a single soldier is ether 80kg or 100kg from memory, and their weight is added to the gross weight of the chopper once embarked. Regards, Ian.
