DCS and Odyssey+ cross-eyed!!

I have the same Problem on my Odyssey, the patch changed nothing for me.

I get used to it while flying, but it is easily recognizable when you change IPD or Volume on the odyssey, then you'll see that the Notification is shifted vertically between the eyes.

It's got to be a difference in eye's, I can tell it's there, but not by any direct visual cue in the goggles. It's mainly when they are remove after a time in DCS my eyes see it. Usually the right eye is a bit out of focus until it re-adapts. For now limiting exposure, there's other flight sims.

Hi Alex, judging from logs above, I calculated misalignment with method described here https://steamcommunity.com/app/719950/discussions/0/1742229167208813376/?ctp=3#c1742231069940351286

Vertical misalignment of your Odyssey is relatively small. It's only 0.41994205°. My original Odyssey has 1.2° and I didn't realy noticed it until I knew how to see it.

There is also partial workaround of this problem. Inject function of Revive. Instruction here https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3734199&postcount=7

Logs with my HMDs. Both have this issue. In Samsung Odyssey+ misalignment is bigger compared to original Odyssey.

Myself and my son have the crosseyed problem with our odyssey's also. Kinda drove me away from DCS. Hope they get it fixed soon.

Still getting cross eye issues in latest OB with Samsung O+ only. Rift and Vive do not have this issue. After 10-15 minutes my eyes try to adjust but it leads to discomfort and even headaches after removing HMD.

~~~1.64° misalignment, immediatly noticeable in game (so I don't play it ..)

 

Eyes try to adapt: The worst thing is when I get the headset off I'm eye crossing for like a minute, don't think its really healthy ..

 

It's a shame because DCS would look pretty good with this headset ..

 

Can't find the log file in dcs folder anyone could tell me the path?

Based on the fact that I have the issue in DCS, but the device works perfectly in other titles, even DCS when launched with ReVive, I would suspect it has to be a software issue. More specifically, Its between WMR/SteamVR and their interaction with DCS

This an inconvenience to people who have paid a significant amount of money not only for this head set, but for the modules and support towards DCS, Steam and the like, but more importantly this is a major risk to someone's personal health. Permanently damaging their eye sight and not to mention other inherent or latent medical issues that could arise.

 

Perhaps they might want to focus on this issue and take it a little more seriously than updating the livery or 'wear and tear' of an object you cant really see anyway. :music_whistling:

Unfortunately, also update number 2.5.4.26552 did not change the problem of the image's misalignment.

I also try to follow topics related to this but no new official news for now. Unfortunately, today's update did not even mention the problem: / In addition, I noticed that from two updates after the launch of DCS by Revive Night Vision works only in the left eye. By running normally through SteamVR with crossed eyes, night vision works in both.
