speed-of-heat
This is not a "new" data but there are a number of brilliant MODS for the spitfire cockpit that alas "no longer work", but, can with a very little effort: 1) create a default folder in the spitfire cockpit folder in saved games Liveries folder (<your username>\Saved Games\DCS\Liveries\Cockpit_Spitfire_LFMkIX\default) you will likely need to create this as well, you will end up with a folder structure like this: 2) Get the original cockpit texture file (Cockpit_Spitfire_LFMkIX_Textures.zip) from <DCS World Directory>\Mods\aircraft\SpitfireLFMkIX\Cockpit\Textures and unzip it into the folder you just created in step 1 (<your username>\Saved Games\DCS\Liveries\Cockpit_Spitfire_LFMkIX\default) 3) you will need to get a description.lua file in order for this to be recognised by the game, copy it into the directory you created in step 1. I used this one https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3826959&postcount=11 which seems to be complete, and you will end up with this: 4) Finally unzip the cockpit MOD that you want to use into the default folder you created in step 1) I quite like: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3302602/ and I use the SpitfireIX_CPT_GLASS_DIFF_RoughMet.dds file from https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3632750 this to reduce the horrible cockpit reflections. Finally, for whatever reason the folder has to be default, you can't create separate folders for different pit's for the spitfire. I hope that helps some people.
