For those that have fixed their 2.5.1 related crashes...

I've got a GTX 970 and have never had an issue until the 2.5.1 update. Both NTTR and Normandy crash. Caucuses map is the only one that doesn't freeze and crash DCS.

I despise updating drivers to fix a game but I'm willing to try. What driver is recommended, knowing that although newer may be better, the "newest" isn't always the best.

Please weigh in. Thanks.

My 2.5.1 often crashes mid misison. I deleted the saved games directory and backed up all important folders and let it rebuild everything. Played once since then and no mid mission crash so far but I'm still skeptical.

Since I trashed all my "old" 2.5.0 missions and re-build new ones in 2.5.1 I have yet to experience a crash.

It actually runs smooth, apart from when new objects are loaded (Comming into range, or undamaged models are replaced with damaged ones).

But it´s still frustrating to see all other bugs introduced with 2.5.1, like the black Vivian sight on the SA-342, RB-15F missile setting in the Viggen, wronf and INOP lights in the KA-50... etc.
