First training mission creation

Hello pilots,

I'm new to DCS and mission editor - fantastic simulalator! I created a simple mission to help me practice takeoff/landing and the mission editor basics. I actually don't remember how I started this particular mission depicted in the attachment. This mission has ground targets but I'm basically just practicing cold ramp startup from Novorossiysk to Anapa-Vityazevo.

My question is related to defining a landing waypoint, in this case Anapa-Vityazevo. I can't seem to get direct landing guidedance w/glide-slope to the runway. The nav. mode guides me to the waypoint prior to the landing waypoint then switches to RTN mode. What I'm I doing wrong?

Also, I noticed some airports have white guidelines representing approach/takeoff, I guess. Anapa-Vityazeno in my mission does not, not sure if this is related to my missions lack of landing direction guidance. Why do some airports have these markers and others don't? (graphic attached - arrow pointing to the markers I'm questioning).
