Is there a way to have visuals and avionics separate?

Hi,

I want to build a home cockpit with a large wrap around (200 degrees field of view) curved screen about 3 meters in diameter and 2 meters high.

For performance, I want the following:

Using one computer, I want to project only the outside view onto that screen using three high def projectors.

On an separate computer, I want to have the avionics running.

Is it possible to separate these processes and have them run on separate computers in DCS World? If so, can anyone point me in the right direction ?

yes you use helios. i suggest looking through this sub forum and seeing what others have done.

OK, I have looked at Helios, but can Helios it offload the avionics to one computer and can you then offload the external visuals to another.

All the implementations of Helios I have seen seem to be on one computer.

Which aircraft?

Helios can be limiting for a pit builder with some aircraft. Look into Ikarus also.

I don't think there is a performance gain by using another computer for gauges... could be wrong. You can run it all with one computer and no troubles. I know nothing about projectors.

good luck!
