"An US Air Force Thunderbird F-16 has crashed and flipped over while practicing for an air show in Dayton, Ohio. Two people are trapped inside the jet, but are reportedly not injured. The Thunderbirds are the Air Force demonstration team.

The pilot will go with CareFlight crew to the hospital, WHIO reported, citing emergency scanner traffic.

There was a “mishap” while a plane was on the ground, according to Staff Sergeant Tabatha McCarthy with the Thunderbirds public relations office."

USAF Thunderbird Jet Crashes During Landing In Ohio

Witnesses tell CBS affiliate WHIO the jet was on the ground when it flipped.

“It was raining, and I was taking pictures of some airplanes,” said Ricardo von Puttkammer, chief correspondent for Aviation Photojournal. “The plane was taxing and it flipped. Right away the fire department personnel was running toward the accident.”

According to WHIO, this same witness told another reporter that a gust of wind may have turned the plane over.

One person has been removed from the plane, per CBS News. Airport and rescue crews are working on the second occupant of the plane. Only two were on board.

The Accident Board President found by a preponderance of the evidence that the cause of the mishap was landing with excess airspeed and insufficient distance to stop the MA on the wet runway. Substantially contributing factors were environmental conditions affecting vision, misperception of changing environment, and procedures not followed correctly.

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..
