Im affraid what will be with MiG-23. If 19 wasnt solved I dont buy pre order of "23" :( .

@Paganus, yep but many old / annoying bugs are present still (from few months, even from release). It isnt F/A-18 with many avionics and weapons systems. This module is unplaybe in VR also. We dont heve in DCS many full clickable modules for Red side and this has a lot impportant bugs here. For me its unplaybe still :/. Pity, I'm disappointed.

YoYo, you said there have been no updates of the Mig-19 in the last few months. Someone posts the update from July 15 and you say yep like you knew about that one. If you did, why did you say there have been no updates? It doesn't make sense. It also received an update on June 4:

Fixed animations and connector commands so that canopy can be opened and closed manually through clicks

Fixed keyboard canopy open/close command delay

Fixed keyboard canopy open/close command to have proper sequence

Corrected EUP-53 instrument behavior for turn indicator

Added flame out conditions due to air flow issues caused by deep stall and or tail slide

Added aileron failure and damage due to excessive roll rate at high speed

Increased R-3S structural load tolerance

Decrease structural load tolerance at very high speeds

Increased buffet vibrations when near stall

Fixed damage argument for right flap and aileron

Only 2 short updates for this year - but still a lot of bugs from 2019 too (even annoying the automatic zoom wasnt resolved till now). I'm curious now for a patch next week and will retract the words if this is fixed. Pls dont mix stable and OB updates. :)

In what way is it unplayable in VR?. I've been having a blast with it in VR

Not enough tests maybe? Im sure model has a coding error with loop (over the Caucasus is most evident). Tested HP Reverb, Rift S, the same. Try to fly relatively low in the Caucasus and make turns. This bug was reported from December 2019 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=259645 . Just promises and no update for this. Here are comparisons https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4379945&postcount=15 .

It’s probably about how a lot of the Soviet modules have frame rate reduction with radio navigation powered on

No, its only in MiG-19P. No this issue in MiG-21bis, L-39, MiG-15 and Russian's FC modules and others modules with classic gauges.

this sounds like run-of-the-mill hyperbole

Right:

ghxMvaCm.jpg

Maybe I was not precise enough also - I mainly mean VR update also (the model has a serious coding error), most important bug for me here. Module is unplaybe because of it.

In the DCS "desert" with Russian planes ... pity him.

If you knew there had been two updates in July and June, but said there have been no updates in the last few months that is a lie. You knowingly lied. I am sorry you are having issues with VR and hopefully it will be fixed soon, but that is no excuse to tell a blatant lie. People on the internet have to stop lying any time they are upset or unhappy with something. Start with the truth as best you can.

Did you see this changlog? Reported system problems are not resolved. I can say about its "cosmetic" update (like this in June: animations, 3D, textures ect.) https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4451292&postcount=3 For me personally it might not be there. You also made a mistake writing about the update for stable version (you did mix OB/Stable update). If this is a misunderstanding then no problem (English isn't my native) so pls dont continue the conversation about the lie. When I run MiG, I can still see the same old issues and slow pace of infos for users and updates so Im disappointed with what I see here.

You are ducking and dodging the lie you told. You said "From few patches in the last few months of DCS no any update of MiG-19" yet you knew there had been two Open Beta Updates with Mig-19 changes in June and July. This means you lied. There is no avoiding this fact.

The trouble is the topic is you asserting the module is dead because it has not gotten any updates in the last few months. Yet it has got updates and not just cosmetic changes either that is another lie. There was flight model changes and flameouts were added. I am beginning to think you and the truth have an estranged relationship at best.

Can you finish littering this topic? I changed on the first post and added "two small updates for last 7 months" if you didn't notice it yet. What you are doing is completely unrelated to missing updates for many of the bugs still hanging in the bug section and which have not been solved for months, some even since the model release: https://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=624 - and that's what this topic is about . You are new here and you don't know what's going on before, maybe you don't even have this module, I dont know.

Good that is more accurate. What is the purpose of this topic though that I am littering? The VR bug has already been reported and is being worked up (if you wanted to put pressure on, you could add another reply to the bug thread asking for an update or ask in the Discord). Why have you posted a topic with an inaccurate and inflammatory heading? I definitely have the module and have no big issues with it (it is certainly does not in my view have "many important bugs", but I don't have VR so can't speak to that issue).

It works for me using the mouse to turn the dial. Last time I checked using the keys or mousewheel still needed some work. It is hard to use while flying, but that is likely a challenge in the real thing (I find the best approach is to trim out the aircraft before looking at the dial). I can't see what they would add to remove this challenge without making it less realistic (although making the mousewheel and key changes smoother / better should be done).

No it isn't like that in real thing. Just read the bug reports on ADF functionality.

Good ....

Lord have mercy, its kind of trolling, but you know? Time to finish it - fortunately, I hope this forum offers user by user banning too (must to check it > edit: checked, yes its present, done), so welcome to the club. You will be the first person who I'll add here from 15 years. Crg young Padawan! :D It's a waste of time and its "empty" discussion. You can do the same and pls don't reply me.

--------------------------------------

Ok. Back to main topic.

So OverStratos any word about roadmap for patches?

Sorry for this unnecessary discussion, but I really like this plane and your job at the beginning. Its a little quiet here. Id like to see finished EA status. Is it possible in this year? It's better to do it now, because when the MiG-23 comes, it will not be time I suppose and I am afraid that the VR problem in particular will not be solved (and many important too from bug section).

Regards.

I have seen and experienced the problems with turning it with keys (and the mousewheel). Using the mouse works better since the last patch to the Mig-19. What other problems / differences from the real ARK-5 are there?

Please state where the keybindings for the ARK-5 frequency handler can be found. I can't find them at all and would really like to bind them to my HOTAS.

The method using the mouse click and drag is indeed much better than the mouse scroll wheel (thanks for the tip, never tried it) but the dial is still jittery and jumpy which makes it harder to use than necessary.

I believe it is under ADF Manual Frequency Down and Up, but it doesn't work very well at the moment. It is not very smooth using the keys (likewise with the mousewheel). It is better to use the mouse, if you can.

Yep, that's it. Default binding cursor up and down. For me this is absolutely the worst method and completely useless.

It would be far better if the keys worked well, because then you could turn the dial while looking forward (with the occasional glance at the dial and /or listening to the Morse code to find the right frequency). It is fairly heads down at the moment (it pays to trim your plane before doing this).
