Hmm, a “donation“ is a compensation for the time and effort you put into these guides, not for the original work and content of ED or the third party. In general it is an option to value that work. I guess if you would ask ED if they are ok, with a donation page as a way for people to support you, while your guides are still freely available, they may not have a problem with that. May be, they could even add your guides to the official docs? For example as an introduction in a boxed DVD set, some of these guides would be an awesome addition.
