Q: Rearm & Refuel

I have question regarding R&R:

During yesterday online flights I did some R&R and it was possible with guns and bombs/rocks in arm state. Was it possible in real to Rearm with weapons armed?

Pls don't take me by word I know that R&R is somewhat gameplay element, but it will make more gameplay sense to me if I will need to disarm the weapons first then ask for the rearm.

Nevo, firstly, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed flying on the DoW server.

Second, I hear what you're saying and I do agree that you would expect some small deviations from reality due to the situations you encounter with it being a simulator. In RL I'd imagine the pilot would be at the very least outside the cockpit stretching his legs during a quick re-arm. And I would venture to guess the ground crew and armorer would have standard procedures in place to ensure the process was as safe as possible for everyone involved such as checking switch positions in the cockpit. So, an automated reset of the switches in the sim would be a cool addition but yes you are right currently you can re-arm the P-51D while in an armed state.
