RustBelt Posted April 13, 2023 Share Posted April 13, 2023 It’s a problem people discover coming from a more modern Navy fighter to a 1950’s Air Force jet. Just like having to use the weapons release button to fire a sidewinder, The Air Force had different ideas about the best use of NWS in relation to weight and system robustness. Navy planes need to steer to move about the deck, so NWS was a higher design priority for a Carrier Bird. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
