Mouse for DCS and general use

Recommended Posts

My OLD Microsoft Optical Mouse 3000 is getting tiresome to use and requires my fingers to slam down hard to register an input. So, new mouse time. What should I get for DCS and just general use??? I do require a wired version (not wireless). Are gaming Mouses with programmable buttons useful in DCS? Otherwise, I do have a Thrustmaster HOTAS set, pedals, and TrackIR5.

Thankx............

wired has many advantages, so does wireless.

I have both in 1, Logitech G700.

It's no real gamer's mouse, but it works for many years now.

Ever since my son doesnt play COD or BF anymore with my mice they seem to drastically last longer, haha !

Most expensive mice are not worth the money imho, I would never pay 130€ for a damn mouse. 60-80e max in my world, and it better lasts many many years.

I recommend the SteelSeries Sensei Wireless, which is wired and wireless, ambidextrous, allows CPI adjustments in increments of 1 from 50-16400 and many other options, made in a matte plasticky material, with a braided cable and comes with a beautiful charging dock apparently made of steel or something. It has one extra switch on top and two on each side and you can customise individual lights in the scroll wheel, the SteelSeries icon under your palm, and around the charging dock, including pulsating lights if that’s your thing or battery indication if you’re the practical type.

It costs $160, but it’s perfect for me.

If you want a cheaper one, SteelSeries Sensei (faithful servant for many years) is mostly the same, but it’s all metal, has a screen under it, and the side switches are easier to press by mistake, and there’s also a SteelSeries Sensei RAW that’s even cheaper and comes in shiny or matte material to my knowledge.

I've ended up using both a std mouse (Logitech 502) and a ball mouse, which I can use left handed whilst holding my stick (oh err missus).

System: 9700, 64GB DDR4, 2070S, NVME2, Rift S, Jetseat, Thrustmaster F18 grip, VPC T50 stick base and throttle, CH Throttle, MFG crosswinds, custom button box, Logitech G502 and Marble mouse.

Server: i5 2500@3.9Ghz, 1080, 24GB DDR3, SSD.
