Default 1080Ti price drops

With Nvidia 11## due to appear later this month I'm anticipating 1080Ti price drops - I'm not going to wait for the 1180Ti. I was wondering what would be your choice of GTX1080Ti to go for? So far I'm looking at:

1) EVGA SC Black Edition OR SC2 (Clocks are the same so what is the difference between these two, just the cooler?)
2) MSI Gaming X
3) Asus ROG Strix OC (Don't think I'll get a good deal even with a price drop though.)

I'm very confident in the Asus strix line personally. They come overclocked very well out of the box and have great cooling out of the box as well. I've never had problems with strix cards. Have had them for 3 gens and never any issues

I would highly recommend EVGA.
They are well known for their graphics cards. I have been using EVGA ever since like the 200 series cards I think, and have been very pleased.

Currently running a 1080 Ti FTW3 and love it.

I like the 5 year warranty that Zotac cards come with

EVGA man myself. Great support and you get a 90 day upgrade option so if you want to trade up to a better card you send yours back and just pay the difference.

IMO SC2 and Black edition exactly the same except one is Black! guess which...

From reviews etc I concluded I wouldn't see any difference between the SC2 and the FTW3 although it runs cooler.

only difference would be the additional fan on the FTW3... other than that, same card..... as for the Black Edition, it is supposedly based on the 1080ti reference card with the EVGA Icx cooler, but without the Icx sensors and tech that the SC2 and FTW3 have...

Wait until the 1180's come out and then buy the 1080, the price will drop a lot more than now.

ASUS or Zotac are the only cards I have used in many, many years.

Ever looked at the prices of the 1070 after the 1080 came out? Those 1080's won't be going down in price, my friend. Until there's more supply/less demand... all these cards are going to be ridiculous prices.
