Hah, the trailer is a 79th jet that was given to the 77th!

I feel much better. I am looking at that tail number and thinking to myself that is not a 77th, I worked on it at the 79th.

I guess the 77th needed working jets so the 79th had to help out! :P

Here are some pics of it with its true colors and proper squadron!

Go 79th!

That’s why I like the Have Glass schemes, looks a little meaner.

Yeah that is interesting.

Not really that odd, it's a training configuration with CATMs.

That first picture must be old, because the S-210 launcher hanging on station 2 hasn’t been in the inventory for quite some time now.

Edit: there’s one in the second photo also.

Back in 2003/2004, when I was in Qatar with 510 AMU, is was very common to have several versions of the AIM-120 loaded. Makes since to me, flying the missiles adds maintenance (IIRC they used flight time nor operational time). Same way the wing man will have a different load that the lead. The lead might have a GBU-31 and two GBU-12 and the wing my have GBU-10 and a GBU-38 or one might have GBU-10 with mk-84 body the other may have GBU-31 with BLU-109 body.

Those guys where flying some long hours tho, 13 to 16 hours.

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

definitely old but it fits the timeline for the DCS F-16 model iirc.

Wait a sec. made me think, That trailer should of had that tail number be a 79th jet since it is modeled based on 2007 :P boo! Give us a 79th for the first skin! Or better yet a 13th from Misawa since its designator is WW and once the F-16 is in game it will show the F/A-18 how SEAD is really done!

Go Wild Weasels!
