v2tec
After taking off I had a beeping sound. Two beeps with increasing pitch and a short break after each sequence. I have no idea what it is and how to disable. There's no warning light, I pressed all buttons to disable warning tones, I muted all volume switches, but the sound still remains. No mode was selected (AA/AG) and master arm off. No bingo fuel. Any idea? ________________________ ________ ______ ___ __ _ Win10 64 Pro, i7-6800K 3.4Ghz, 32 GB (DDR4), Asus Aorus 1080 TI WF, TrackIR 5 / RIFT, Thrustmaster Warthog, Fanatec Pedals, 55" oled 4k TV, Modules:A10C, KA-50, Huey, AV-8B, FA-18, F-16, NTTR, Persian Gulf _ __ ___ ____ _____ ______ _______ ____________

dudeman17
While I'm not truly sure what exactly you're hearing. I have heard from another person I fly with that they're having issues with the radar altimeter alert going off constantly and when it shouldn't. Maybe that's what you're hearing. Makes a racket for a couple of cycles as you pass over it and then stops. And you'll probably hear it again as you come into land and pass over it. Harker
Probably the radar altimeter. It has happened that I took off and it kept going off even when I had climbed above its set floor. Just turn it off (floor needle to 0) and back on again. The vCVW-17 is looking for Hornet and Tomcat pilots and RIOs. Join the vCVW-17 Discord. bbrz
+1 definitely the RA. Set it to 0 to disable it and leave it there. Except in bad weather with very bad viz I really don't need it. ED Team BIGNEWY Posted August 14, 2019 ED Team Share Posted August 14, 2019 Only way to get to the bottom of this is for the OP to post a track replay or video showing the behaviour. ED Team BIGNEWY Posted August 14, 2019 ED Team Share Posted August 14, 2019 I got the same problem with the Low altitude warning does not go off after takeoff if I have landed for rearm. Can sometimes happen after a heavy landing due to damage. Can you add a track. thanks Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Tholozor
Doesn't RadAlt only sound off once as you descend through the threshold altitude you've set though? I think it only does that with the gear down, and the OP's description is during takeoff, so if he's got the radar altimeter maxed out, it won't stop until he's above 5k. DimSim
For me last flight, it was the landing gear. It did not fully retract. Seems to have been damaged on take off. Made a repeated dull beep sound but with no warning lights except landing gear lever light remaining lit.
