Adamastor Posted February 27, 2020 Share Posted February 27, 2020 Static objects names I guess that all team in ED is working hard to bring us as soon as possible the fix this and some other issues in late updates. Well, I would like to advise others that is better wait and don´t do what I did ... and what I did was something like "if the mountain does not go to Mohammed, Mohammed go to the mountain" ... but I´m not so good and my "great" idea was catastrofic. And the idea was to change the name in the CTLD file for the same that was on the ME unit. .. Brilliant, isn´t it? .... ...Nope, don´t try to do that. As you may see on the video posted above (very well explained) the name isn´t static, in fact what is happening is that is counting the units, so ... you click once and is says "ammo" you click 2 says ammo #001, if you put 20 static objects it will go untill "ammo #020", then, the LUA file from CTLD gets confused and DCS imediatly crashes and gives a bunch of errors .... well, long story short .. after a thousand attempts to fix the problem I decided the best I coul do was uninstall and instal all again. prefetch Posted March 4, 2020 Share Posted March 4, 2020 (edited) complicated i've commissioned and troubleshooted more than a few plc controlled equipment installations in pretty remote locations (actually about as remote as possible on planet earth) in my time of course that time is over now so i think these guy's must be doing the best they can with a really complicated setup and of course they are short handed that's a given i know they are on it and they know we are eagerly awaiting their output never thought i'd be playing the same piece of software for 20 plus years!! This completely destroys any of the more FUN / Complicated missions. Still not fixed after the latest patch. Huge Deal breaker. Please ED put this to the top of the stack on Hot Fixes.
