Lixma 06 Posted December 2, 2018 Share Posted December 2, 2018 I know the subject of performance on and around the Tarawa isn't new but at least one suspect might involve the use of shadows. In the following video I do two passes of the Tarawa - the first with shadows set to 'off', the second pass with shadows set to 'flat' (which under normal circumstances cost next to nothing performance-wise). During the first pass (no shadows) the FPS goes no lower than 77, during the second pass (shadows 'flat') they plummet to 33. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I never use 'Default' so I haven't tried - they're generally uglier due to their constant LOD changing and they are much more demanding on the GPU.
