Hi.

For DCS Flight Panel app, a Run Minimized feature would be nice if possible. :D

I'm back from holidays !

So... i started again with the FA-18C project:

After adding several new functions to the F18 DCS-bios file i can export the frequencies and channels to the radio panel.

I can change the channels too, from the radio panel knobs.

Now i am looking the way to integrate the ILS and TACAN, but i need a way to export this data from the cockpit, but not sure if i have acces to this data.

And last thing to prepare is the posibility to change the frecuency for the Channel M or others.

I let you know how the project goes.

  • 2 weeks later...

Ok ! first version of the FA-18C radio panel published !

NOTE:

This is my first time implement one airplane radio panel to the DCSFP so... i foresee issues!

Just let me know any problem you have, or ideas to improve the functionality.

In this version i implemented the COMM1 and COMM2 radios and the ILS, for the moment.

The ILS work only in manual mode, so you need to select the ils manual mode in the cockpit switch. ( on the left side panel)

Here you got how it works:

THANKS:

I want to thanks to ArturDCS for his help, and for the great program he created.

Thanks too, aswell, to AndrewW, for create the first version of the FA18C DCSBios implementation.

And of course, to [FSF]Ian, for the DCS-Bios !

KNOW ISSUES:

- For an unknow reason, the change channel rotators only works in one direction, i'll try to fix that in the next version.

- You need to click once, any button on the radio panel to "activate" it. ( ? )

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

You need to download the new version of the DCS-bios too. I changed the fa-18C_hornet DCS-bios file to add some new functions.

Hope you like it !

@ArturDCS hello,

i just bought K-50, and i would like to config my panels:PZ50,PZ55,PZ70.

do you have a recommended settings:

for example for the HSI COURSE, HEADING knob what is the advanced syntax on PZ70 to change values on display like on the real HSI? as you told me for A-10

thanks in advance

You ll be able to do that with the pz70 by assigning the relevant dcs bios controls to the rotary switch. The pz70 supports multi panel definitions so your rotary can do different things depending on the position of the left selector. What would make sense for example is to assign your rotary to HEading when your left selector is set on HDG, your hsi course when the selector is on CRS, etc. It is very straightforward to do.

Hi.

I use PZ55 only.

In game, the first touch or flip any switch doesn't work. Second one, everything works.

Is it something on my side?

Thanks.

Hi Devrim,

I have seen similar behavior as well. When I open DCSFlightpanels I always flip a few switches just to make sure it's working. Then, when I open DCS, I go into "controls" and do the same for the module I'll be flying. The DCS-BIOS configurations won't be seen there, but it somehow initializes everything. If I forget to do this before I get in the cockpit, I get into the controls in-game and do the same there. For some reason the panels need this little kick to sync up with the game.

Hope this helps.

Paul

I noticed that radio panel does not change the freq on vhf 2. I need more investigation,

Also the gear lever down deactivets the hud???

I'l try to figure out the problem

Did you notice the same problem?

Regarding panel behavior at start.

Each panel needs to be "activated" by pressing ANY dial or key. Before that it is impossible for DCSFP to know in what position any dial is in. It is a big unknown until you flick a switch.

Edit:

The panels only send the current config once something happens, it's not possible to poll the panel (to my knowledge).
