using MS Edge instead of Internet Explorer...experiencing posting issue

Since starting to use MS Edge instead of Internet Explorer I've been experiencing a posting issue.

When replying to a post and choosing to highlight some words the poster wrote, I no longer see the color change, instead I see the code written in.

example:

example test.

COLOR="Red"]example test.[/color

Once I click submit I will see the color change.

Using IE browser the color change appeared while writing and editing the post.

Why doesn't this happen with MS Edge?

To be more specific:

When I press the 'Colors' button [or any font, or font size] in the above toolbar and choose any color I see what looks like HTML markup code.

example:

[color-"Blue"][/color]

[color-"Purple"][/color]

[color-"Red"][/color]

Once I press 'Save' it shows the text as the actual selected color.
