Mission Editor and HMCS

I've created a mission with a quick spawn for some A2A activity.

Is there a way for me to spawn my F-16 with the HMCS ON already?

Seems like DMS aft long only works if the knob is turned fully first. I've seen MP missions where it is on hot on ramp.

It can be turned on at mission start if you bind it to an axis, but it depends on whether DCS picks up the axis input or not, at mission start. I have it on the Warthog throttle slider and if I'm doing hot starts, I'll just leave the slider where I want it. at worst, I just need to tap it at mission start to register an input.
