Water Spawn Troops - Mod

This mod will allow you to place any ground troops in the water, anywhere on the map. I created it with two intentions:

1. To work with the CTLD script for the loading of amphibious assault vehicles at sea.

2. To enable troop landings on the 1944 Normandy map from the shallow depths close to the beaches.

Of course there are many more applications to suit your own imagination (marine and commando units wading down river etc) you get the idea.

It is JSGME/OvGME compatible and can be downloaded here:

I put the downloaded folder in the DCS directory, or My game save, soldiers still can not be set in the water. Where should I put the folder, please?

This mod has to be loaded using either JSGME or OvGME and then activated for it to function.

Here is a mission I created which uses this mod and LHA Amphibious Assault Package (with updated LCAC addition) to show what is achievable using just AI and the CTLD script. Hope it helps.

The .miz file contains the scripts in the l10n folder so no need for me to post them separately.

On a side note if you use any of the CSAR type scripts out there, the pilot to rescue is represented by a ground troop. If he ejects over water he will now be partially submerged using this mod rather than standing on the water surface. I found it a little more immersive when testing it out. :thumbup:

No I am afraid not BaD CRC thats a code rewrite requirement on EDs part...but fingers crossed for future implementation....:thumbup:

The mod is required only for preparing the mission? If I want use on my dedicated server I need to install on PC where mission is edited and also on server/clients?
