Need to know what version i should download since i want to go multiplayer. What version are servers using these days (it's been a long time for me)? I would not advise new/returning players to jump into beta right away. Servers that run on beta are those that mainly follow F-18C development closely. If he then decides to stay on a server which will update to a new beta version, he can switch very easily without downloading the game again anyway. Most popular servers run it, and you get the new stuff and fixes asap. It might give you a bug here and there, but you can still get that in stable as well. You can switch your installation to a different build by simple cmd command or with utility.
