logitech g940 mappings

Hi all, longtime DCS user but new to the mustang version. Short & sweet, I cannot seem to get my HOTAS configured. I've been through this before with warthog and sorted that out but for the life of me, I can't seem to get my stick to work correctly with the mustang. I tried importing my LUA files from warthog into p51 but they don't work. Does anyone have any experience with getting the Logitech g940 system configured, or perhaps, someone has a config file they could share? I put the .LUA files into the aircraft, default, joystick folder. thanks in advance!

Are you talking about FFB or just about mapping the switches?

If you having problems with the FFB >>>

FFB for the G940 and Force 3D Pro is broken in the current version :

Major FFB Issue?

Here is a workaround by using a external FFB program while DCS is running:

average_pilot has compiled a new version of his FFBSIM tool.

This should be the number one alternative for G940/Force 3D Pro BlackShark pilots.

When having problems with the button-mapping >>

Delete all files in

C:\Users\>your username<\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\P-51D

(DCS will rebuild them to default when started the controller options again )

and start mapping the buttons inside DCS World from scratch.

Importing doesn't work really well when using pre-DCS World profiles.

Hi battguano!

What exactly don´t you get working? Beside the FFB bug my G940 behaves as expected. So if I can help you out with any files, let me know.

In any case make sure, that you delete any assignments with controllers you don´t intend to use. I had some trouble with my connected XBox360 controller.

Is it possible to use the trim wheels of the G940?

I assigned them in the axis options, but in game nothing happens?!

At least they work for the Mustang.

Which plane did you assign them for? The A-10 has digital trimming, so I don´t know if that would work.

But the axis themself should work regardless.

By the way its the Mustang thread here. ;)

Ooops..yes, guess it is :D

My trim wheels also lag behind the stick trimmer, but not more than your sim Alter Ego would need to crank the wheels. To me it feels quite natural and you wouldn´t turn them quickly in real life, only that little bit to release your stick forces.

But I don´t know how long your delay is, of course.

Rock 'n' Roll!
