cavoli addirittura l'interno?

Già, queste sono le motivazioni di Coyote:

guys, the engine had to be done for two reasons. 1-the cooling gills open from the side and the engine can be seen through the cracks. 2 is a damage model, screenshots are made in the viewer and hoods are removed by damage arguments.

DCS: Fw 190 A-8/F-8 Shrike Update

Progress remains rapid on the Shrike with a release set for later this year. The Fw 190 A-8 will be an excellent counterpart to the Spitfire Mk.IX and provide a period-correct aircraft for the Normandy map. The F-8 version will provide the Luftwaffe a capable ground attack aircraft to match the upcoming P-47D and Mosquito.

As you can see from the screenshots, a huge amount of detail is being put into this model that allows for spectacular battle damage results.

DCS: Fw 190 A8 First flights

We would like to share some exciting news on the progress of the Fw 190 A8 for DCS World. As we approach the 80th anniversary of the first flight of the Fw 190 back in the spring of 1939, the module for DCS World has taken its own first flight internally. As you can see in the included screenshots, while still early, progress is moving along at a good pace. With this new module comes some new features, such as the new fan-assisted air cooling model introduced to the oil cooling and engine air intake system.

Starting from the A8 oil cooler, the system will hold true with our current engineering approach and use the same math for radiators which has become much more efficient in compiling (saving time and minimizing mistake probability) as well as adding new opportunities for integration with the new Damage Model. Because of this it will handle punctures and over-heating correctly and is a much more robust system regarding any weird combination of input parameters. Eventually, this new system will replace the old one in all WWII

The Fw 190 was designed by engineer and Test pilot Kurt Tank. The team he assembled to create this new fighter from the outset wanted a design with a much different approach than what was taken for the Bf 109. The design was to be a smaller tougher and easier to maintain. Inspired by a captured I-16 Rata, which was able to out turn the faster Bf 109, the Germans could see the benefit of the shorter wings and smaller design, wrapped around a powerful radial engine.

The A8 variant was the largest produced version of the Fw 190 and should provide an excellent opponent to the current plane set in DCS World, especially the Spitfire IX. Enjoy this sneak peek at the progress on this module, and stay tuned for more news in the not so distant future.

Designed for the German Luftwaffe by famed aircraft designer Kurt Tank in the late-1930s, the Fw 190 was the backbone of the Luftwaffe in both fighter and attack bomber roles. Powered by a large radial engine, the A version of the Focke-Wulf 190 was superior in many ways to the Bf 109s and Spitfires at the time of its introduction. In fact, this led to the development of the Mk.IX version of the Spitfire. The Spitfire LF Mk.IX and the Fw 190 A-8 make excellent counterparts for DCS World. The Fw 190 later evolved into the Fw 190 D-9, also available on DCS World.

Many of the Luftwaffe’s aces racked up their impressive kill counts in the Fw 190 A due to its impressive fire power, excellent low to medium altitude performance, durability, and ease of flying. It saw action on both the eastern and western fronts where it was both respected and feared by allied pilots. Armament included two fuselage-mounted 13 mm MG 131 machine guns and four wing-mounted MG 151/20E 20 mm cannons. The aircraft could also be loaded with unguided rockets and bombs.

The A-8 version of the Fw 190 entered production in February 1944, and it was powered by a BMW 801 D-2 radial engine. In addition to excellent low- and medium-altitude performance, the engine was also very rugged. Along with the F-8 version, it also had thicker armor around the engine. The engine also received the C3 injection system that provided an emergency boost of 1,980 PS in short durations.

Secondo me vogliono investire...
