EvMstein
Hello, I wondering if F/A-18C Hornet module will come with Activation Limiter in it? And if it does, how many times can I activated it before it become inaccessible? Thanks in advance :smilewink:
BlazingTrigger
I don't think it'll have an activation limit as the activations will be bound to your account so there will no need to use an activation code. Fri13
The old method was 10 activations, 10 deactivations (so about 20 in total if you deactivated) and after last activation was used, you were left one that gets generated after month of last use, so you always have a one activation left. The new method is that module is locked to your account and you just log-in and periodically log-in when update or play multiplayer. i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K. SkateZilla
E.D. Uses their own DRM Now in replacement of Starforce Proactive. AFAIK, there is no activation limit, but you will have to connect to the server to authorize every few days. Seems to me like if youre not connected to the internet it should just remember the last activation... Not an issue for me as I always have stable internet, more of a curiosity [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Spudknocker DCS World YouTube Channel!! ICS_Vortex
If you are not connected to the internet does it deactivate the module after a few days? Yes, if you lost internet connection - your modules (which u bought for $$$) will be deactivated. Currently, 3 days after your last authentication. ED Team BIGNEWY Posted February 9, 2018 ED Team Share Posted February 9, 2018 Wags last post on the subject said probably. Has this changed to definitely? I am quoting this DRM server had failed. And the code missed this case, when login server works and DRM one does not. Now this is fixed in the internal version and will be out with the first patch. Also, the offline mode of operation will come; can't give ETA at this moment though. Forum rules - DCS Crashing?
