Richard Dastardly
MK 14 Griffon Spitfire, then i can smack the 109s that outclimb, out dive and out speed everything. Not only enormously fast but the most demonic sound I've heared from a piston fighter - ( and looks awesome too ). Me 262 You're in luck, I believe it's been in the pipeline of the ETO project all along. Bozon
1. Mosquito FB.VI (it’s coming!) 2. Mosquito FB.XVIII “tse-tse” (the one with the 57mm Molins BFG lobbing 6 pound shells YIPPEE!) 3. Mosquito NF.XXX After my mosquito fetish is satisfied I’d really like to have an F6F-5 Hellcat. “Mosquitoes fly, but flies don’t Mosquito” :pilotfly: - Geoffrey de Havilland. ... well, he could have said it! GrislyAccord
Just one? Man. That's a tough one. I would absolutely LOVE the Zero... But if we could only get one, I guess I'd have to go with the P-38, just because of the twin-engine, counter-rotating prop configuration. That alone makes it a more interesting plane. msalama
As a heavy fighter / dive bomber, the Pe-2 Peshka of course. We'll never see one unfortunately, but one can hope  The DCS Mi-8MTV2. msalama
Yeah, would buy an Airacobra straight away as well. Probably wasn't the best of WW2 fighters, but the Russians did well with it regardless. Their fights were at low altitude and the lacking turbocharger didn't matter that much. The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of. Bozon
It would be if Bell would manage to put turbo in it. They did have a turbo in it, but then were told to remove it... Anyway, there was a lot more wrong with this plane besides its inability to fight at 10+ kft. I do appreciate Bell’s balls (excuse the pun) to come up with such a unorthodox design: engine in the back, tricycle gears, car door entrance, cannon that fires through the cockpit... “Mosquitoes fly, but flies don’t Mosquito” :pilotfly: - Geoffrey de Havilland. ... well, he could have said it! grafspee
TL;DR Ju 87 would be my most wanted WW2 airframe. Die StuKa, die StuKa, die StuKa! Or Me 163. Would be something totally different. Me163 is nice but very limited way of use. msalama
such a unorthodox design I'd use it for ground attack myself. IIRC the Russians did and found the plane well suited for that role too. The 37mm gun would be just the thing for convoy attack. The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
