A-10C Instant action night landing mission ILS broken

I recently loaded up the Night Landing mission in instant action menu for Caucuses region and set the plane up for an ILS approach to Kobuleti (ILS 111.50). I tune my ILS to 111.50, call the tower and request approach, and landing, but not matter how well aligned to glide slope I never get the ILS system to actually work. If I turn off ILS using the button I get the beam for runway alignment, but no glideslope beam. If I turn it on the ILS beams are white flagged.

I don't hear the ILS morse code either despite being tuned to the correct frequency.

I thought I must being doing it wrong, but then I set up a custom mission using Sochi as the airport and everything works perfectly.

Is Kobuleti ILS bugged? For an instant action mission called "Night Landing" it should allow the user to use the ILS systems...

There have been ils bugs in Caucasus since 2.5 so I can’t confirm anything specific, but it’s conceivable.

Yes, it is bugged - ATC incorrecty turns OFF RWY 07 ILS if there is a moderate headwind i.e. 4 kts toward 250° in this case.

It's an old bug introduced with the new 2.5.x Caucasus map and effects most airbases.

For an instant action mission called "Night Landing" it should allow the user to use the ILS systems...

You can copy

• "DCS World\Mods\aircraft\A-10C\Missions\QuickStart\Caucasus - A-10C - Night Landing.miz"

to

• "Saved Games\DCS\Missions"

and edit the ground wind in the Mission Editor.

RWY 07 ILS will work for 0 kts wind or 7 kts (3.6 m/s) wind (or higher) at ground level (33 ft).
