lawndartleo
There is an oddity with the Oculus touch controllers that the VR zoom button is mapped to the right hand and the menu to the left. This seems odd to me as it would make more sense to have them reversed so that a player could maintain stick control with the right hand and use the touch control with the left hand to zoom and punch buttons. My searches come up empty on flipping the controls from hand to hand so I am hoping somebody can offer up a link to an appropriate thread. Thanks in advance. lawndartleo
Wow! Am I totally missing the boat on something here or is there no workaround?
gorgar0
The workaround is binding the VR zoom to your hotas.
lawndartleo
... Which, sadly, is exactly what I do not want to do. I'd simply like to swap buttons on the Touch controls, but that seems to be an impossibility. It makes so much sense to have the zoom function be bound to the left hand controller. LUA maybe? Demidrol
Did anyone find the way to unbind the VR Zoom and Esc functions from VR controllers?
Emacs
I would like to map VR ZOOM to my Hotas - but I cannot find a way to do it. Should I have a VR Zoom key binding in DCS? Or is this something hidden in the Oculus software? Cheers, Emacs
Emacs
Never mind. Found it. It's in the "UI Layer" part of the DCS key bindings. Cheers, Emacs

Be aware as you assign that stuff in the UI Layer to buttons it is global, so not module specific. In other words you are committing buttons you will not be able to use in specific aircraft setups.
