bigmacusmc
X-Posted Good morning, Looking for assistance with MAJOR FPS drops when bomber formations are in view during the Blue Nosed Bastards campaign. PC runs GREAT with everything else DCS has, but as soon as a formation shows up, bam! FPS goes from 40 to 7! Seems like a CPU issue though, because when paused (and still rendering the bombers) the rate returns to 40. As soon as it's unpaused, it's back to 7. philstyle
I have the same problem with the "Big Show" campaign. Try turning off "wake turbulence" in your settings, if it is on. I'm told that has a big FPS impact, but I've not tried it myself yet. Reflected
Yes, as mentioned in other threads turn off wake turbulence in your settings. So far this solution has worked for everyone. Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
Flanker35M
S! The Wake Turbulence turns the game into a slideshow with bigger formations. A nice feature while making a video of a few planes, but in game it just hampers performance too much. Turned it off and smooth gaming.
