Off the shelf trim box?

Recommended Posts

Hi all.

Does anybody know if there is a commercially available trim box being produced anywhere? Preferably UK or mainland Europe, but I’d take anywhere to be honest. I’ve googled around, but to no avail. And I’ve also contacted a bespoke button-box maker to knock one up for me, but he wasn’t interested. I would have thought these would have been readily available, given that most flight simmers have need of one. I don’t need anything too elaborate. Just three rotary knobs that are clickable to reset to neutral, or, even better, have a central detent.

It's not SUPER hard to do. I know the MMJOY2 post is daunting since it's a DECADE long meandering conversation, not a damn manual. But 3 axis? Easy. Too easy. You'll end up putting buttons and switches and crap on it.

AND, then you'll be able to say you know how to do it!

And then you'll end up like me wasting all your money at Mouser and building way too many controllers and switch rigs.

Don’t count on it.There are times when I can barely write my own name without my tongue coming out  Nah! I’d rather just stump up some cash and have something that actually works as intended, and doesn’t look like it’s been cobbled together by a blind monkey.
